What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is not a religion and neither does it have anything to do with the supernatural. Feng Shui is actually a science born from precise mathematical computations through some rather complex compass calculations. Studying these computations would take a lifetime. In China, where Feng Shui originated, people devote many, many years of commitment to the discipline, often spanning many generations of families totally dedicated to the study of Feng Shui.

Just think about the many tomes and ancient writings that should be read, as well as the thousands of mathematical formulas that should be applied. Clearly, the study of Feng Shui is a vocation that not everyone can pursue.

Thankfully, we don’t have to know every aspect and intricacy of Feng Shui to experience all the good that it can bring into our lives.

Books, like the one you’re reading right now, are available to tell you what to do without having to burden you with the complex explanations behind the study. Though such an approach is not really suitable for other subjects, it is the most accessible way of learning Feng Shui, and I’ll tell you why.

Have you ever experienced a period in your life when everything seemed so promising? Have you ever had days when everything you did seemed very

right? Have you ever enjoyed a series of moments when you couldn’t seem to do anything wrong?

Looking back at those times, chances are you can associate them with changes in your surroundings. Rearranging your room, for example, may have precipitated such glorious period, while allowing clutter to accumulate may have resulted in some tumultuous times.

This is what Feng Shui is all about.

It states that everything – EVERYTHING – can be traced to our environment, and, more specifically, how the things around us are arranged and ordered.

It is widely believed, with good supporting reasons, that the flow of chi, or energy, is dependent on the area that it passes through. Try to maneuver your car, for example, on a crowded boulevard and you won’t reach your destination as fast as you’d like to. Compare this to driving on an empty freeway, where you are able to arrive at your destination very quickly.

Chi, and good chi in particular, operates under the same principle.

If your house is not conducive to the proper flow of good chi, then you will just end up shooing it away. The result? You’ll be turning away some good fortune.

So even if good chi enters your house, it will quickly leave.

Or it may become stagnant. Good chi is supposed to flow freely. If it becomes inactive, it will spoil and be transformed into something completely undesirable.

Worse, your house may be designed in a manner that attracts bad chi. This can be disastrous, if not fatal. Bad chi can cause a lot of negative effects, among which are bad business decisions, monetary problems, marital difficulties, deterioration of health, missed opportunities, slow growth, poor relationships with children, and even death in certain circumstances.

You don’t want to suffer these ill effects.

So, it is very important to have a basic knowledge of Feng Shui.

You have full control over Fate. You can manipulate certain conditions to make them favorable for you. You don’t have to endure bad luck. You can grab the bull by the horns and steer your destiny to better fortune.

In this day and age, when so many opportunities present themselves to us, luck has become a very integral factor in determining success.

Many people think that luck is something that is random.

But Feng Shui will show us, and show us with great efficiency, that luck can be manipulated. Yes, we have the power to draw luck from our surroundings. We don’t have to be subservient to Fate’s whims. We don’t have to wait for luck to find us.

We can find luck through our own machinations. This is what Feng Shui is all about.
